    My mother Helen was a resident from August 2014 to March 2016 when she died following a stroke at the age of 95. She had all her faculties but had lost her sight and therefore required a lot of personal help. She had nothing but praise for the carers who always treated her with respect and professionalism. She joined in with the wide range of activities offered and thoroughly enjoyed the company and the friendly staff. She had a mix of regular and occasional visitors and all were very impressed by the home, its presentation, facilities and competence of the staff. I was very touched by fact that four members of staff attended her funeral. Furthermore, as an added mark of respect, Abdul was one of her pall bearers. I thank him and all the Linwood staff for making my mother's final years supremely comfortable, safe and companiable.
